The Atkins UK Infrastructure Project Delivery Practice is the centre of excellence for the delivery of infrastructure projects and the home unit for our project management staff. The team is responsible for delivery of design services and the provision of project and programme management services across our Markets of Water Infrastructure, Defence Infrastructure, Aviation, Energy, Stations and Urban Developments. These may be delivered as single major projects or a programme of smaller projects. Our Clients include, AWE, Berkeley Homes, BAE Systems, Environment Agency, Birmingham Airport, Gatwick Airport, Heathrow Airport, High Speed 2, EDF, Horizon, Sellafield, Anglian Water, United Utilities, Scottish Water, Seven Trent Water, St Modwen, Thames Water, Transport for London

We have exciting new opportunities in our Project Delivery Practice for a Project Administrator to work from our Birmingham and/or Derby offices. Our Project Administrators are responsible for working alongside Project Delivery Teams to support and coordinate project delivery activities on multi-disciplinary commissions from concept through to construction, on our expanding portfolio of the biggest and most challenging projects across all Market Sectors.

Project Administrators will be responsible for activities including:

• Supporting the project team in the successful delivery of the project or design package to agreed targets, e.g. programme, budget and quality,
• Monitoring costs against percentage complete on project programme,
• Improving finance processes.
• Attending and facilitating project meetings.  
• Financial reporting, cost monitoring, KPI monitoring and reporting
• Assisting with Timesheets and invoicing queries,
• Preparing monthly progress reports,
• Providing administration and management of data on company systems to help project managers manage client relationships,
• Support to bid management teams
• Be involved in closing out the project on completion, filing and archiving project documentation, updating market information,

Requirements:

• A-Level qualified or equivalent qualification with practical experience of working within a project administration function for infrastructure projects or equivalent project delivery.
• A hard working and flexible individual, with a willingness to learn, who is a team player, possesses a good attention to detail, is reliable, proactive and shows initiative whilst able to keep cool under pressure and when working to often demanding deadlines.
• Strong interpersonal, organisational and communication skills both verbal and written
• Positive, can-do attitude, self-motivated and able to work both independently and within a larger multi-discipline team
• A high expectation of performance for themselves and other members of the team
• Ability to adapt to different cultures and working environments to build rapport with clients and team members alike
• Experience with MS Office

Desirable

Market sector experience in one or more of Water Infrastructure, Stations, Aviation, Defence Infrastructure, Energy and Urban Development projects is desirable, but equivalent experience in other sectors will be considered.

Experience of PMO environments

Hold a valid UK driving license
