As part of our 30-year remit to manage and improve the capital’s orbital motorway network, we deliver major improvement projects, such widening 38 miles of the M25, refurbishing tunnels and bridges, and installing hundreds of variable messaging signs and gantries, helping to maximise the use of the network and deliver more reliable journeys. We also manage the Dartford River crossing, and operate and maintain 440 kilometres of motorway providing our customer and road user with a world-class highway service.

We are currently looking for a Project Assistant based in our Leatherhead Office. .  

Main purpose of the job:

  • Validation and production of the internal/external invoice data support on a monthly basis.
  • Responsibility for timesheet capture and collation and allocation against task codes including quality checks and costing for timesheet entries.
  • Manage Highways England Finance Schemes Tracker spreadsheet and related documents including month-end change control correspondence.
  • Update and submit scheme and CPS Key Performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Update the client database with latest forecasts, costs, invoices and accruals
  • Assist project managers with the financial input of each portfolio.
  • Input of scheme costs through regularly reviews, adjust forecasts and balance overall portfolio accordingly

·         Assist in the capture and validation of the CPS time charge capture including data input and liaison with our sub-contractors to ensure the correct validation of costs.

Key responsibilities / duties:

·         Excellent PC skills specifically in Excel and Word.

·         Organised with a logical approach to work

·         Ability to input data accurately.
