Atkins seeks an energetic and highly motivated self-starter to join our Orlando, FL Project Finance Group as a Project Billing Specialist.


MAJOR FUNCTION/ROLE

Prepares, generates, reconciles, and maintains necessary back-up and documentation for invoices.


JOB DUTIES
  • Gather data for billing backup.
  • Confirm accuracy of PO with subcontractors.
  • Sets up and maintains Billing Terms. 
  • Prepares invoices in accordance with contract requirements. 
  • Maintains contract and billing files and makes changes and updates including but not limited to contract amendments, dates, key members, etc. 
  • Prepares labor adjustments, billing transfers and journal entries as needed. 
  • Performs monthly billing reconciliation. 
  • Prepares and maintains appropriate spreadsheets to support billing, if necessary. 
  • Retrieves back-up documentation and copies for inclusion with invoices. 
  • Prepares invoice certifications for small and minority business subcontractors. 
  • Tracks and monitors subcontractor payments for pay when paid processing. 
  • Performs all work in compliance with company policy, Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, and in accordance with internal controls. 
  • May perform such other duties as the supervisor may from time to time deem necessary.


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • High School plus four years related experience, or Associates Degree in accounting plus two years related experience.


SPECIAL SKILLS
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel required (pivot tables and VLOOKUPS). 
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills required to interact effectively with project managers and subcontractors.
