The opportunity

Joining Atkins within their Bristol based Project Controls Office will offer you the opportunity to work on exciting and rewarding assignments across multiple sectors. It will enable you to develop the skills, knowledge and attributes that fit firmly within the project management career pathway. As a Project Controller for Atkins you provide key elements of Project delivery, governance and controls. In this role, you will encounter a variety of technical, managerial and people challenges, whilst taking advantage of the support and development opportunities provided.

What you’ll be doing
You will join our Project Controls Office, where you will be supported in learning the skills required to support, monitor and control projects throughout their full life cycle. We will empower, trust and stretch you from day one.

We have a range of roles to fill from starter/junior Project Controllers all the way through to experienced Project Controls Team leaders.

Core activities you will be involved in include:

  • Supporting projects from start to finish, including the monitoring and reporting on: Risk, change, stakeholder, supplier and financial Management, Project planning, resourcing and technical assurance.
  • Supporting the bid process.

Who we’re looking for

  • Prior experience of working in a project environment desirable but not essential;
  • Strong communication and people skills, with the ability to collaborate with a variety of colleagues;
  • Strong Excel Skills;
  • Ability to manipulate big data;
  • Problem solving and analytical skills, enabling innovative solutions and insightful decision making and recommendations;
  • Confidence working independently, using own initiative and enjoying working as part of a team;
  • Ambitious, commercially aware and results focused with the drive to keep on learning.

Security
This role may require security clearance and offers of employment will be dependent on obtaining the relevant level of clearance. If this is necessary it will be discussed with you at interview.
