CDI is currently seeking a Project Coordinator to join the nuclear team in Plymouth, MA.

 


JOB SUMMARY

 

Opportunity to join CDI and the project team at the early stages of a Nuclear Decommissioning Major Project and develop a position as a central enabling member of the team. The project mobilization is in the early stages, giving the successful candidate the chance to be part of the growth of the team and project as it moves into rapid decommissioning of a shuttered Nuclear Power Station.

This position is for an exceptional candidate that has the thirst and appetite for personal growth, has the desire to secure a challenging but very varied and interesting role at the start of a new and exciting company, and wants to be instrumental in the creation of a winning Project team.



JOB DUTIES

  • Duties include the below, but flexibility and ability to manage multiple commitments at once are essential. Actual duties will depend upon the skills and experience of the successful candidate.
  • Function as the central coordinator of the project leadership team and overall project team. This includes understanding near term major activities, key travel plans, client commitments, near-term reporting needs, new hires, onboarding, logistical needs, etc.
  • Co-ordinates Project team workflow to ensure their understanding of actions and task assignments and provides the necessary background information to meet objectives
  • Manages Project operational weekly / monthly schedule to deal effectively with conflicting and changing priorities, including staff whereabouts, major stakeholder meetings, briefings, monthly reviews, meetings and visits with senior corporate officials and their staff
  • Coordinate inputs and prepare weekly / monthly project reports and dashboards, agreements, correspondence, invoices and spreadsheets and ensures accuracy and confidentiality in compliance with appropriate standards in a timely manner
  • Drafts routine correspondence, prepares agendas and presentations in the appropriate corporate format and in a timely manner.
  • Prepares meeting notes and issues meeting records in a timely manner. Follows up with participants to ensure accuracy when required.
  • Works with the project controls team to manage shared data environments
  • Liaises with senior management within and outside the project team in requesting, receiving and distributing both written and verbal information to the appropriate parties
  • Provide specific and general administrative support to the Project leadership team and other members of the Project team as appropriate in all matters to ensure efficient functioning of the Project
  • Undertakes special assignments on behalf of the General Manager or Deputy General Manager, such as organizing forums and workshops, strictly confidential matters, and performs other related duties as required.
  • Note – this is not an executive assistant or personal assistant role. The value the candidate should be able to offer is to the Project team in enabling the project success from a coordination perspective. Some duties may include administrative items, but these will be to the benefit of the project.

 

 

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • Ability to integrate into a small team, engage direct with the client team and continue to build upon the existing friendly and energized environment in the project team
  • Flexibility to respond to changing and conflicting priorities.
  • Desire to join a new business and growing team at the start of its journey
  • Effective communication skills, both oral and written
  • Accuracy in written communications – ability to produce quality outputs
  • Tact, diplomacy, trust and discretion in handling sensitive and confidential information.
  • Organizational and time management skills to work independently and prioritize workload during peak periods.
  • Proactive and ability to identify actions and implement without being continuously directed
  • Not afraid to ask questions when unsure
  • Can demonstrate ability to perform described duties through previous experience – using specific examples of working in similar environment.
  • Ability to be security cleared and pass fitness for duty tests for access to a Nuclear site
  • Advanced Proficiency in Microsoft applications – Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint. Knowledge of other software such as Microsoft Project is a definite asset.
