Project Manager - Baku, Azerbaijan

Since 2016, Atkins has had a permanent presence in Azerbaijan. Whilst our operation is mainly focused on delivering front-end engineering services and structural integrity management to key operators, Atkins is also exploring other areas for growth including tourism, transport and infrastructure.

As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for the management of a portfolio of multi-disciplinary projects, mainly focused in front-end engineering and concept development. You will act as a key interface between our clients and Atkins engineers based around the globe.

The Role

As a Project Manager, your job is to plan, budget, oversee and document all aspects of the projects that you are working on.

You will work closely with upper management and clients to make sure that the scope and direction of each project is on schedule, and you will interface with engineers from the wider Atkins group. You will also present your work to clients through reports and presentations.

You have a strong background in conceptual, front-end engineering, and ideally in process engineering.

Key Responsibilities

Key responsibilities will include:

• Participates in project budget planning and development.
• Establishes project work plan and calendar or schedules; monitors, reviews, and evaluates progress.
• Acting as an interface between our clients and the Atkins engineers around the globe.
• Coordinates and attends meetings; establishes and maintains internal and external contacts as necessary.
• Knowledge of BP CVP process and Atlas/Documentum systems.
• Writing reports and presenting to clients (in English).
• Ability to take responsibility and function under minimal supervision.
• Ability to work with wide range of people.

Education: Bachelor degree.

Experience: Relevant professional project planning and implementation experience. Technical Oil and Gas background preferred but not essential. Strong working knowledge of MS Office programmes, including MS Project, is required

Language: Must be fluent in spoken and written, Azerbaijani, Russian and English language.

Nationality: This role is open to Azerbaijan nationals only.

Start Date: This position will start in January 2018.
