Are you looking for your next role leading technical projects in the Nuclear Energy sector? This could be the role for you!

Our business delivers a range of services including engineering design from Front End Engineering Design (FEED) through to Detailed design, Consulting and Analysis work for the Nuclear New Build market and Power markets.

The Role

We’re seeking an experienced, driven Project Manager – ideally someone with a strong background in the delivery of large scale nuclear development, licensing and engineering projects. Experience in commercial projects with a solid understanding of project legalities, compliance and regulatory bodies will set you apart.

Joining our Nuclear and Power business in Epsom means you’re enthusiastic about leading technical project/programme delivery - sometimes embedded into client organisations directly, enabling us to stay as close as possible to the project. Being mobile is key as we have some great secondment opportunities that could take you out to client locations around the UK.

We’re hoping to find someone who enjoys managing project performance positively - drawing on a range of tools and techniques to control cost, risk, change and delivery, whilst pragmatically interacting with a range of stakeholders. If you thrive on directing complex projects with a healthy respect for the regulatory, technical and commercial perspectives, you’ll probably be a good fit in our organisation.

This role needs a good team builder; someone who is keen to shape and create a team who demonstrate a success mindset by building strong relationships and taking ownership of their own work. Our teams are multi-disciplinary, multi-cultural and located across the globe bridging many time zones.

The role also involves supporting the growth of our project delivery capabilities mentoring, business development, bids, as well as constantly striving to better our reputation for excellence in all that we do.

In addition to the above, the following also describe you:
• Degree qualified in Engineering (or similar)
• Project Management qualification (APMP or equivalent).
• Project management experience in multi-disciplined design and development projects, demonstrating accountability for quality, time, cost and technical performance parameters agreed with client.
• Experience of liaising directly with the Office for Nuclear Regulation (ONR) and managing licensing and development projects in the nuclear sector is highly desirable.
• Experience of leading and directing local and geographically disparate teams and resources is highly desirable.
• Experience including development consent, licensing, design, construction and decommissioning (including CDM, supplier and contractor management).
• Knowledge of Professional Services and Engineering & Construction Contracts
• Willingness to travel for short or medium term in UK as business requires
• Any level of fluency in foreign languages such as Mandarin, Japanese, Korean, French or German are advantageous but not necessary.
