Atkins Nuclear Solutions US is currently seeking a Proposal Content Specialist to join the nuclear team in Columbia, SC.

Job Description

Work with MarCom and technical staff to coordinate and develop content for database, marketing materials, and RFP-compliant, competitive, and quality marketing proposals and statements of qualification.

Assist in strategically leading proposals by performing research, gathering information from the team and assisting or leading win theme and storyboard discussions.

This role encompasses both logistics and strategy.

Understands the Atkins brand initiatives and marketing and business development process in marketing tools and systems.

Follow Atkins proposal development process and tools using best practice/ISBP principles. Assist with storyboard and text development.

Help develop and improve proposal content by interviewing and working with technical staff and performing independent research.

Assist with development and application of proposal/presentation themes.

Prepares compliance/assignments matrix and proposal schedules working with Capture Managers and senior Business Development managers.

Maintains project experience and resume information as boilerplate information for use on future proposals.

Customize projects, resumes, boilerplate, and other text to align with client/pursuit, objectives.

May work with leadership and pursuit team to develop project capture plan, pursuit strategy, marketing campaigns, Stage Gate compliance, benefits, solutions and proof. Edit drafts.

Assist in developing presentations.

Design and create graphic content, digital signage, logos and presentation templates to enhance communications.

Develop, update, and maintain content in Vision info centers following established writing and formatting guidelines.

Provide detailed queries and reports.

Identify and pull resumes and project descriptions in support of pursuit efforts.

Ensure client debrief information is captured and recorded.

Coordinates and guides pursuit close-out process as it relates to Vision updates and maintenance.

Assist in development of press releases or communications for project wins, milestones, completions, and awards.

Assist in development of articles for distribution through our online thought leadership platform, intranet, and corporate websites.

Assist in the development and maintenance of marketing materials such as brochures, flyers, presentations, project layout sheets, print-on-demand sheets, etc.

May perform such other duties as the supervisor may from time to time deem necessary.

Work involves knowledgeable application of quality control as well as standard procedures and criteria to the coordination of proposals which are of critical importance to the firm.

Exercises considerable initiative and judgment with regard to content, wording, completeness, correctness, and appropriateness of proposal contents and graphics materials, making recommendations directly to

capture and project manager.

Job Requirements & Desired Skills

Strong grammar, spelling, composition, and proofreading abilities.

Job requires detail orientation and the ability to multi-task and work under the pressure of a deadline-driven environment with a high consequence of error (which may result in the loss of considerable revenue to the firm).

Self-starter; can lead sections (e.g., project descriptions & resumes), tailoring them to the solicitation requirements. Good command of the English language.

Computer skills required and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Illustrator, PhotoShop, InDesign, Acrobat Professional, Keynote, and other software programs.

Understanding of A-E and project management industry standards and disciplines. Can translate abstract ideas or narrative text into graphical concepts to illustrate concepts more effectively. Works independently, yet functions effectively as a member of a team.

Job requires ability to travel.

If local travel is required and no company vehicle is available, the use of a personal vehicle may be required. The incumbent must have a valid driver's license and a driving record that meets company policy. The vehicle must be in good working order and insured. Mileage reimbursement allowance will be available.

Must be willing to work under the pressure of frequent deadlines and work extra hours as necessary.

Education and Experience Required

Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Marketing, or related major.

Without a degree, 10 years of relevant experience within the firm or in a similar technical/marketing environment is required in addition to appropriate knowledge and skills leading proposals in the industry.

APMP or Shipley Accredited applicants preferred.

Due to current law, and in conjunction with the advertised position’s scope of work, candidates that are Non-US citizens are required to be submitted for further approval to the NNSA before being considered for hiring purposes. In addition, any candidates with dual citizenship in the US and another country must undergo further review for approval by the NNSA.
