Atkins is the largest engineering consultancy in the UK, the largest multi-disciplinary consultancy in Europe and the seventh largest design firm in the world. The company is transforming its Group/UK Quality, Safety and Environment (QSE) service delivery model so that:

· Business Partners will be aligned to UK businesses with a strong strategic focus on working at Business Board level.
· Operational QSE support and Functional Centres of Expertise will be shared by the UK operations.
· We improve and influence QSE service delivery to employees, managers and business leaders.

The aim of this restructure is for QSE to become totally embedded within the culture of Atkins, a ‘Natural’ part of the organisation. This means proactively working with staff, clients and our supply chain to improve QSE, as part of team and board meetings throughout the organisation, fully integrated into the decision making process, and is valued in the same way such as commercial and finance.

The QSE Coordinator/Team Organiser will report directly to QSE Performance Manager and will be responsible for providing support and advice to QSE and Information Assurance through AskQSE, as well as providing administration support to the QSE Senior Team.

This position is on a Job Share basis, part time, working 18.75 hours per week 

The successful applicants will be based in Derby, with some travel throughout the UK.

Responsibilities

• Provide effective and efficient advice and support to QSE and Information Assurance for the UK operations through AskQSE during busy periods and provide cover
• Work with the QSE team such as Regional Advisors / SHE experts when enquiries need to be escalated
• Input into QSE / CR/ Information Assurance (UK) reporting system(s) to be used across the Atkins Group
• Diary and e-mail management for Group / UK QSE Director (cover)
• Managing travel arrangements for Senior Team, including international travel
• Managing internal and external phone calls for the QSE Team
• Manage the weekly movements for QSE team
• Organise meetings and phone conferences
• General administration duties

Requirements

• Good organisation skills with ability to manage multiple tasks
• Ability to be flexible in supporting the Corporate Responsibility (CR) Team, with the different tasks that may arise
• Ability to engage with all levels within organisation
• Ability to communicate in a concise manner (oral and written) at all levels within the organisation
• Good attention to detail, with the ability to produce quality documentation
• Technical understanding and knowledge of QSE with relevant qualifications such as IOSH working safely, desirable but not essential
• Experience in providing a good 'customer' service
