We are seeking to recruit a QUANTITY SURVEYOR / COST MANAGER within our Transportation Sector to support a variety of projects in the highways sector.  This business sector involves working on high value, strategically important projects which are high profile within the client’s organisation.  By the very nature of the size of the projects you will be expected to perform pre and post contract services for the client and form part of a team approach to project delivery.  This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual with experience in the Transportation sector.

The responsibilities
  • You will be dealing with all aspects of pre and post contract cost management utilising traditional skills and the latest digital technology.
  • With minimal supervision you will undertake cost estimating, preparation of tender documents and post contract administration, manage client relationships and service delivery on a project basis
  • You will be able to demonstrate a sound track record of service delivery in the consultancy or contracting field.


The requirements
  • Experienced Quantity Surveyor / Cost Manager
  • Good experience of civil engineering work possibly including but not limited to rail, highways and transport in the consultancy sector
  • Commercially aware
  • You must demonstrate an ability to undertake measurement from drawings and prepare pre contract cost estimates.
  • You will work well as part of a team and demonstrate good people interface skills to support and mentor where required.
  • You will have suitable client interface skills and experience
  • You will have the necessary ambition and drive to deliver a high quality professional service.
  • Flexibility on being office or site based
