Faithful+Gould are looking for a Quantity Surveyor to provide post contract quantity surveying services to support the planning, delivery and close out of Turnaround activities on a major Petrochemical site, including:

• Management of small contracts with minimal supervision
• Contract administration
• Attendance at weekly coordination meetings
• Site measures
• Payment verification and approval
• Contract change evaluation and quantification
• Final account and contract close out

Requirements:
• BSc in Quantity Surveying or equivalent degree
• Chartered (RICS) or working towards professional membership of the RICS
• Industry, petrochemical, manufacturing sector experience (preferred)
• Active involvement on several commissions/projects
• Established knowledge and understanding of construction forms and techniques, including construction costs
• Understand contract documents including familiarity with contractual obligations, breaches and remedies
• Knowledge of and ability to advise clients on procurement options and consultant appointment issues
• General knowledge of current legal and regulatory developments in respect of construction and associated law
• Possess sound technical health, safety and environmental knowledge applicable to the construction industry
• Reliable mathematical ability and accuracy in all your work, and good standard of literacy and presentation skills
• Close attention to detail
• Able to communicate confidently with colleagues, clients and clients’ contractors; verbally and in writing
• Self-disciplined
• Motivated to drive and support continuous service improvement
• Sound working knowledge of Microsoft Office and other role related software packages
