Due to continued success in the country we are now seeking to add an experienced Quantity Surveyor to our already established team in Qatar.

General Description:

This position shall provide support to the Senior Quantity Surveyor for delivery of project.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Provide Quantity Surveying support related to the Project;
  • Provide contract administration for project;
  • Provide cost reporting for project;
  • Prepare and review payments in a timely manner;
  • Track all commercial actions to ensure completion in a timely manner;
  • Prepare and review requests for variation, addendum, extension of time, etc… in accordance with Authority policies and guidelines;
  • Attend all project meetings as required; and
  • Prepare progress reports to Senior Quantity Surveyor as required.

Skills and Competencies:
  • Minimum 5 years of post graduate experience;
  • Experience in major infrastructure projects or programs. Preference is given for roads, aviation, structures or rail experience;
  • Contracts Experience – specifically FIDIC and Government forms;
  • Experience with Design-Bid-Build and Design and Build Contracts;
  • Experience in contract formation and administration;
  • Strong post contract administration experience;
  • Experience in procurement management & tendering procedures;
  • Management of small and/ or mediums sized teams;
  • Management of frameworks and PMC environments; and
  • Computer knowledge of software applications related to Quantity Surveying practice.
Qualifications & Criteria:

Mandatory requirements:
  • University degree from a recognised university in an appropriate field such as:Quantity Surveying, Procurement or Construction Management;
  • Professionally qualified in MRICS; and
  • Proficient in English, written and spoken.
Desirable requirements:
  • Masters degree in a relevant field;
  • Arabic language skills; and
  • Experience of working in Qatar or the Gulf region.
