Our Paris office is a dynamic business unit delivering Project and Cost Management services to a variety of international organizations. Our client portfolio consists of diverse flagship clients including Roche Diagnosis, AstraZeneca, Marriott, Al Futtaim group, Cross Lane Group, Costa Coffee, Burberry and American Express.
As part of this office's growth strategy, we are now seeking to recruit an experienced Quantity Surveyor/Cost Manager to support and deliver quantity surveying and commercial management services to a variety of projects in our key sectors including retail, hospitality/hotels, commercial offices, energy and pharmaceutical.
Our projects typically range in value from £1m to £20m+ and are with a variety of clients giving our Surveyors a diverse and exciting workload.
Responsibilities:
- Provide effective delivery of Quantity Surveying services across a wide range of market sectors from project inception through to completion
- Prepare Cost Plans/Estimates/Bills of Quantities/Tender Documents
- Provide post contract Quantity Surveying services
- Prepare data and reports to timescales in a format required by line management/client.
- Assist in mentoring and development of junior staff
- Work collaboratively with other service teams to provide an integrated approach to client delivery.
- Managing client relationships and service delivery on a project basis, in conjunction with senior management
- Provide support to QS Team Leaders as required on all business issues
Requirements:
•Qualified with a BSc (or equivalent academic qualification) in Quantity Surveying or qualified by experience
•Working towards becoming a member of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors or equivalent known association
•Experience with both private and public sector clients
•Experience of cost planning, pre and post contract project responsibilities, and be able to deliver this service effectively to Clients
•A knowledge and understanding of the component parts of a project and overall construction costs coupled with a competent knowledge of a range of project procurement options
•Great interpersonal skills with an ability to communicate effectively, both with internal teams and with clients
•Proficient in preparing and editing reports
•You will have the necessary ambition and drive to deliver a high quality professional service
•IT literate with an understanding of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook and other Planning software’s including MS Project and Primavera
•Good organisational skills
•Ability to work in an international environment for clients from various sectors
•Experience in use of and knowledge of most of contracts including FIDIC, SIA118, NFP03-001

Additional Information:
You will need to be bi-lingual speaking - in both English and French
Based in Paris but level of mobility required in the role to travel in France and surrounding French speaking countries
