Atkins seeks an energetic and highly motivated self-starter to join our Calverton, MD Federal Group as a Receptionist/Office Administrative Assistant

Major Function/Role:
  • Provides senior-level administrative support to an office, as well as receptionist support as necessary.
Job Duties:

Applies advanced administrative skills to a wide variety of situations involving the administrative function of the office including but not limited to:

  • Greeting visitors and directing them to appropriate individual.
  • Assigning visitor passes if required by office.
  • Answering incoming calls on the switchboard and directs to the appropriate individual. Places call in voicemail or
  • takes manual messages when necessary.
  • Arranging for courier services when requested.
  • Distributing incoming and outgoing mail.
  • Supporting staff in multiple departments across the office with items such as expense reporting, document control,
  • project administrative support.
  • May perform such other assignments as the Supervisor may deem necessary from time to time.

Education and Experience:
  • High school diploma (or equivalent) plus eight years related experience OR an Associates Degree in a related administrative field plus six years related experience is required.
Special Skills:
  • Solid communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Excellent grammar and proofreading skills.
  • Minimum word processing speed of 65 wpm. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and Power Point).
