The contingent workforce team are responsible for the recruitment and management of all categories of temporary workers, including agency workers, contractors and sub-consultants.


This opportunity would suit someone who takes a pride in maintaining service delivery within a fast-paced environment, enjoys variety in their working week and wants to contribute to the success of Atkins as part of their award winning recruitment team.


This role is currently being advertised as a 6 months FTC, 37.5 hours per week based in our Birmingham Office.


Requirements
Within this role you will be responsible for fulfilling a high volume of temporary requirements within the timescales required by your internal customers. You will be expected to manage the assignments of around 400 workers and provide best practice guidance to the Atkins business on how best to engage with all categories of temporary workers.

You will be able to demonstrate an understanding of employment, contract and tax legislation relating to the engagement of temporary and contract workers -including the Agency Workers regulations and IR35 rules.
Previous contingent workforce experience is essential gained either from an in-house or agency role.

Responsibilities
Working alongside 3 other recruitment advisors you will report into the Recruitment Partner, the activities will include, but not be limited to the following:
• Liaison with hiring managers to scope recruitment requirements, determine selection criteria, shortlist candidates and arrange interviews.
• 360 recruitment lifecycle from attraction, selection, offer management and onboarding
• Responsibility for ensuring all data and interactions are undertaken safely, securely and in compliance with all legislation – in particular GDPR activities
• Evaluating and filling resource requests across multiple-disciplines for bids, projects and consultancy assignments.
• Ensuring interviews are scheduled in a timely manner, providing guidance in respect of best practice for selection methodologies
• Produce and distribute monthly recruitment reports utilising the Recruitment Management System (Taleo).
• Manage all administration relating to the raising of Sub-Consultant and Payroll Consultant contracts as per Atkins retention policy
• Ensure that temporary and contract workers are engaged in line with best practice, including, but not limited to, accountability for legal compliance, minimising risks and striving for achievement of diversity goals
• Respond to Line Manager queries in a prompt and courteous manner
• Adhere to the Atkins recruitment policies and processes applying best practice in recruitment co-ordination activities
• Escalate issues and blockages to the Recruitment Partners, in order that resolutions can be sought
• Monitoring the Atkins internal contractor recruitment Inbox

Candidate Requirements
• Excellent English both written and spoken
• Experience in Contingent workforce planning
• Experience of process management.
• Strong customer service focus.
• Process improvement skills.
• Ability to handle complex tasks and logistical challenges.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Strong prioritisation skills.
• Contract and data management
• Negotiation, communication and influencing skills
• The capability to plan and schedule work in line with changing priorities
• Ability to work with high volume workload and tight deadlines
• Proficient in the use of spreadsheet, database and word processing packages – Word and Excel, and working knowledge recruitment databases (such as Taleo)
• Resilient and able to work under pressure
• Confident, diplomatic and tactful – demonstrating high levels of confidentiality
