  • Job reference: R-029669
  • Sector: Atkins
  • Location: Cheltenham

SNC-Lavalin’s Atkins business is recruiting for exciting roles and disciplines across our Aerospace, Defence, Security and Technology (ADS&T) sector. If you’re driven to be at the forefront of technology, then make sure you book your place on this recruitment open event on 16th July 2019. You’ll hear from industry leaders on some of our latest breakthroughs and have the chance to talk opportunities with key members at the business.

This sector of SNC-Lavalin’s Atkins business unites our clients’ digital and physical worlds, while making the world a better and safer place. Our primary clients are early adopters of technology in aerospace, defence, security and intelligence. We also take our capabilities to wider government, transportation, infrastructure and energy organisations, both at home and overseas.

Our people advise clients on how to adapt to the fast-rising tide of digital disruption. They provide expert advice to guide clients through the challenges and exploit the opportunities of the digital revolution. Our people are pro-active and reliable partners that can help maximise the value digital capability can offer. They will help their clients survive and thrive in an increasingly complex world.

Innovation is a big part of what drives ADS&T. We work across the breadth of the security and defence industries and by using some of our advanced technology solutions, we help clients meet today’s most pressing challenges. We’re always developing new apps and systems to help improve the way we and the larger industry works. With our network of offices in the UK and our Global Design Centre in India, we collaborate across the disciplines to come up with solutions and standards that lead internationally.

Our people are aware of the current and future digital trends that can and will have an impact on clients. They understand business needs and embrace this change to translate knowledge into action. Turning knowledge into strategy, they upskill their clients and equip them with the right tools to ensure they have a digitally literate workforce with the right culture to be able to cope with the fast-changing digital environment. Our consultants work in partnership with clients to ensure solutions place people at their heart.

Our office is made up of a diverse team of friendly market-leading experts. It's a place where you'll enjoy many opportunities at any stage of your career. You’ll lead your projects, well supported from colleagues in high positions, and you’ll be trusted to deliver without being constantly monitored. We value true multidisciplinary collaboration, being innovative, supporting each other and always enhancing the way we work together. The business has a great energy, with many new Graduates and Apprentices who are eager to learn and progress.

You’ll become part of a sociable and inclusive family, where we’re always improving the way we think, behave and work for all underrepresented groups. We want to get rid of the stigma around mental health. So we’ve signed the Time to Change Pledge and have employed Mental Health First Aiders who look out for our employees’ wellbeing.

Within ADS&T we’re proud that many of our employees are reservists. We’re fully behind them as well as any other staff members who have important out of work commitments. You can expect us to have your back informally and formally, making it possible for you to achieve a happy work-life balance. These are some of the benefits we offer:

• Great flexible working choices
• Option to buy up to 15 days extra holiday a year
• Two days a year #givingback as a volunteer

Cheltenham is a mix of cosmopolitan culture and archetypal England. Our offices are in a convenient city centre location – about 20 minutes’ walk, or five minutes’ drive from Cheltenham Spa train station. Nestled on the edge of the Cotswolds, Cheltenham is a well-connected town with plenty of options for weekend breaks. Frequent train services, an extensive bus network, good roads and motorways link us to all major UK centres. The city has its own international airport and is also accessible from Bristol and Birmingham airports.
