Atkins is going through an exciting period of change. On July 2017 we were acquired by the Canadian listed construction and engineering firm, SNC-Lavalin. SNC-Lavalin is one of the leading engineering and construction groups in the world and a major player in the ownership of infrastructure. Our work focuses largely across the transport, infrastructure, energy, aerospace and defence sectors where we’re involved in the delivery of major projects such as Hinkley Point, HS2 and Heathrow Airport expansion. The Recruitment Partner will assist the operational delivery of recruitment/resourcing for key Major Projects. You will be accountable to a specific project (s) with responsibility for ensuring their resourcing requirements are met in a cost effective, efficient and timely manner. Your personal capability and credibility will be key in how the Resourcing Centre of Expertise will be viewed by the business.

Key Accountabilities
• Support operational delivery of recruitment/resourcing for key project/s within the UK & Europe Region
• Create credible relationships with key business stakeholders by gaining an understanding of project- translating this into recruitment strategy, managing hiring managers’ expectations, challenging thinking and providing specialist recruitment expertise and guidance to translate the strategy into recruitment plans
• Support the Head of Recruitment in deploying best practice across all major projects
• Develop capability of recruiters by supporting their personal development
• Build strong relationships with other divisional Recruitment Partners to share knowledge and work together effectively
• Develop, monitor and report on meaningful Management Information
• Identify areas for continuous improvement and delivery of value for money
• Identify cost-effective solutions for delivering effective recruitment services to the business
• Manage delivery of service in line with business priority and budgets
• Ensure services from the experienced hire, contingent workforce and early years teams meet business requirements (where applicable to the project)
• Develop thorough business domain and relevant discipline knowledge
• Ensure recruiters and hiring managers apply best practice assessment, interview and selection methods including, but not limited to, accountability for legal compliance, minimising risks and striving for achievement of diversity aspirations
• Utilise our Business Management system (Workday) to record requirements, assess progress and provide business updates including monthly reporting for relevant stakeholders
• Develop an understanding of the diverse employee stakeholder group aligned to the project, adapting service delivery when appropriate, whilst ensuring compliance to recruitment processes and policies
• Develop strong relationships with the wider HR and business communities

Technical Requirements
Recruitment leadership expertise demonstrating the following essential capabilities: -
• Proven experience in customer relationship management
• Strong evidence of recruitment expertise covering both attraction and selection of candidates
• Demonstrable skills in gathering and shaping resource requirements
• Ability to translate resourcing strategy into recruitment action plans
• Demonstrable knowledge of relevant employment and related legislation
• Strong evidence of commercial awareness
• Demonstrable skills in planning and organising

In addition, whilst not essential, is desirable: -
• Experience of working in a shared service environment
• Previous account management experience
• Proven experience in team leadership and management
• Evidence of driving continuous improvement

Key to this role is collaboration across the whole HR function to provide involvement and to develop the knowledge across other areas.
