Atkins Architects are looking for a Regional Office Manager to support the operational performance of the diverse business we have in the North region (Warrington OR Leeds OR Glasgow).

Atkins Architects have a national team of nearly 400 staff reporting into 4 regional managers and we are looking for a candidate to support these regional managers and the business operations generally in that region.This role is considered to be key to the regions success as it will allow a growing business to improve its efficiency and therefore capability in region, freeing up valuable time for others to focus on business growth and clients.

We are looking for someone to:
• Be a good communicator both verbally but also in the production of written or visual information
• Be a leader of the team in region, supporting the varied needs of the business personnel
• Establish, maintain and develop relationships with the other regional office managers as well as the other business support teams in the region
• Be capable of making recommendations for review and sign off by others
• Be capable of pulling data and stats together from various sources and providing these in a concise format to the regional manager
• Be engaged with the successful running of the office and region generally

Atkins Architects operate from 12 regional offices in the UK and have a wide variety of skills such as Architects, Building Surveyors, Interior Designers, Landscape Architects, Urban Designers and Master planners.

We primarily focus on Education, Commercial, Residential, Rail station design, Aviation, Defence, Energy and the water markets nationally but every one of the regional offices has its own unique local market focus.



We are looking for an enthusiastic and proactive new member to work with our existing business support and senior management team to support the operational performance of this national business.


We are looking for someone to:
• Have a proven track record of office management experience
• Have a detailed understanding of a range of office software, including outlook, spreadsheets and databases, to ensure the efficient running of the office
• Have a willingness to develop new ways of working, helping to improve the business efficiency
• Be flexible and creative in their approach to challenges
• Be proactive and supportive
• Ideally have past experience of an Architectural practice however this is not essential

As an example, here are a few of the types of duties that would be involved: (this list is not exclusive and is only a guide, more detailed tasks will be discussed upon interview and appointment.


• Ensure a staff database is updated and maintained on a monthly basis with new starter and leavers
• Maintaining training data, providing recommendations of training needs as well as data around staff’s mandatory training modules
• Support the accuracy of our resource management system and provide clear reports to the regional leaders
• Maintain a current project list within the office and ensure the local bid tracking document is being updated by the senior leadership team on a weekly basis
• Support the consistent application of national initiatives such as newsletters, weekly team meetings etc
• Diary and meeting organisation support to the regional managers and senior leadership team in region
• Proactively prepare material for the regional managers to ensure they are prepared for the on-going cycle of human resource actions such as professional development reviews and promotion processes
• General office support such as travel bookings, timesheet completion, office stationary etc

This role may require security clearance and offers of employment will be dependent on obtaining the relevant level of clearance. If this is necessary it will be discussed with you at interview.
