Regional Director - Head of Southampton Office

The role will require the successful candidate to provide strategic and operational management and leadership for the Southampton office, taking overall responsibility for the delivery of all financial and other performance metrics as defined by the business.
The successful candidate will be the figurehead for Faithful+Gould Southampton, active in the local market, driving market engagement and the securing new opportunities for the business.
The role will also require the successful candidate to remain engaged on project-delivery, be client facing with a utilisation target of 60%.
Specific Requirements include, but are not limited to, the following:
o Define and implement a clear strategy for the development of the Southampton office
o Identification of key sectors and markets to pursue / exit (where to play)
o Strategy to be aligned to UK&E Strategy for Faithful+Gould
o Identify opportunities for strategic recruitment and associated investments by the business, linked to the office development strategy
o Ensure appropriate engagement with the wider Faithful+Gould and Atkins business, as determined by the strategy
o Develop a sound business plan and monitor progress against it
• Business Development
o Oversee all business development activity
o Ensure that a clear BD and Marketing strategy, aligned to the Business Plan, is developed
o Act as the main market-facing individual for Faithful+Gould in the Southampton market
o Develop Key Account Management Plans for top 10 clients
o Monitor and manage all BD activity and associated expenditure
o Generate high quality thought leadership material for use on the website & in the market
• Financial / Operational
o Maintain personal project delivery involvement and maintain utilisation at 60%
o Ensure an appropriate management and operational structure is put in place for the effective running of the Southampton office
o Delivery of financial targets for Southampton as defined in annual budget
o Secure year-on-year margin improvement on project delivery
o Monitor and control compliance with all key metrics, including (but not limited to):
Project Health Checks
Invoicing and managing provisions
Manage all HR and staff matters
o Develop and action improvement plans resulting from the annual engagement survey, Viewpoint targeting year on year improvement in EEI.
o Ensure annual and interim Performance and Development Reviews are undertaken with all employees in the Southampton Office.
o Ensure compliance with mandatory Skillport modules
o Develop succession plans for the office identifying both internal and external talent
