Atkins Nuclear Solutions US is currently seeking an Risk Management Coordinator to join the nuclear team in Oak Ridge, TN. 

Job Summary

Risk Management Coordinator shall assist the Project Office in performing risk analysis and recommendations as requested by the UPF FPD and Contracting Officer; compliance review plans and reports for M&O contractor submitted Baseline Change Proposals; assessment review plans and reports.

Job Duties/Tasks/Responsibilities

Provide expert analysis and recommendations of Y-12 Maintenance and Operating (M&O) contractor performance data and performance baseline data to be used by the UPF Federal Project Director when providing information to Congressional staff and NNSA Headquarters and other stakeholders.

Provide expert analysis and recommendations of M&O submitted proposals to be used by the UPF Contracting Officer when developing Negotiation Positions and contract incentives and evaluating the effectiveness of contract incentives.

Provide expert analysis and recommendations of M&O contractor performance data to be used by the UPF Contracting Officer when determining provisional and earned fee.

Lead contractor teams in the review and analysis of M&O contractor submitted baseline change proposals, resulting in recommendations regarding the compliance of the M&O contractor submissions with DOE Order 413.3B, and other DOE Orders.

Complete assessments of M&O contractor compliance with contract requirements.

Serve as the risk management program coordinator for the UPF Project Office.

Serves in a key technical role.

Develops, reviews, and provides technical guidance regarding policies, plans, orders, and documentation.

Conducts research, performs analyses, and provides input to reports, plans, and briefings.

Work performed under this task may require the contractor and its personnel to gain access to classified and restricted DOE/NNSA data, systems, and facilities. For this reason the contractor personnel may be required to obtain and maintain and possess a DOE/NNSA Q Clearance.


 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 



EDUCATION

Bachelor's degree required; preferred in engineering, business administration, accounting or finance

EXPERIENCE

14 years of experience in Engineering

Experience working on nuclear design and construction projects

Experience working within the Department of Energy Complex

Experience with project controls and reporting systems in use at UPF or other DOE projects is a plus

Knowledge and previous experience with uranium processing

Knowledge of DOE O 413.3B, DOE Guide 413.3-7A, federal budget principles, Construction Project Data Sheets, and ANSI/EIA-748-C (Earned Value Guidelines) is required

REQUIRED AND DESIRED SKILLS

Must be able to interface with government program representatives on high-level technical and project issues.

Ability to successfully make quick decisions to meet goals while working under severe time constraints.

Demonstrated ability to be creative with a keen attention to detail

Strong communication skills

Advanced computer skills, including the use of process equipment design software and MS Office.

Detailed knowledge in functional discipline and its practical application

Detailed knowledge of industry codes and regulations
