Working for the Head of Programme Controls this role is to manage and maintain the Risk Management function on the Alliance.
The role includes developing the Risk Management processes for the Alliances as well as assisting in the integration of the Project Controls processes within the other functions of the Alliance.
Responsible for carrying out periodic risk reviews, maintaining risk registers and producing periodic progress report information.
Responsible for coordinating with Network Rail risk team to ensure Alliance meets NR requirements.
Educates the Alliance team on Risk Management techniques to ensure full ownership by budget & scope holders.
Advise & Audit the planning team on requirements for QSRA standards.

Requirement of experience of Oracle Primavera Risk Analysis - quantitative schedule risk analysis (QSRA) and @Risk - quantitative cost risk analysis (QCRA).

• Timely production of periodic progress reports highlighting progress and main issues.
• Provide leadership and guidance in the concept of Risk Management, maintaining their appropriate and effective application to all stages of the project lifecycle.
• Deliver assurance activities as specified in the Risk Management Plan.
• Manage and deliver specialist Risk Management support services as dictated by the risk maturity of the Alliance Project Team.
• Actively promote a Risk Management culture and improve competency across the Alliance Project Team.
• Manage the buying in of external R&VM support where necessary and that these are delivered to required quality standards.
• Maintain a robust view of required levels of Risk Management services and assure that suitably qualified & experienced resource is available to meet these requirements
• Assist the Alliance planning team in the production of periodic QSRAs as required by the client.
• Liaison with the Change Manager to avoid repetition of activities in change process and timely transfer of items from risk to change.

• Competent in all aspects of project and business risk management facilitation
• Able to build complicated cost, schedule and business risk models in a number of applications
• Be classed as a “Specialist” in the Leadership Competencies

• Membership of the Institute of Risk Management or Association for Project Management Risk Practitioner
• Experience in Network Rail’s project management processes and procedures.

This role may require security clearance and offers of employment will be dependent on obtaining the relevant level of clearance. If this is necessary it will be discussed with you at interview.
