Atkins seeks an energetic and highly motivated self-starter to join our Lake City, FL office as a Senior Bridge Inspector.
Under general supervision, researches and interprets contract requirements to determine whether construction work is proceeding in substantial compliance with plans, contract, specifications and special provisions.
Major Function/ Role:
· Observes shallow and deep installations, and determines whether construction work is being performed in substantial compliance with contract plans and specifications.
· Applies conventional field observation practices in diversified construction project of medium to large complexity.
· Writes daily inspection reports, performs verification testing, and documents test results and observations.
· Assists in all types of record keeping and field measurements, as needed.
Education and Experience:

High school graduate or equivalent plus five to eight years related experience OR an Associate Degree in a related technical field plus five to eight years in related experience is required.

Experience with bridge inspection: Complex category 1 & 2 minimum.
