Atkins seeks an energetic and highly motivated self-starter to join our Austin, TX office as a Senior Buildings Structural Engineer

Major Function/Role:

This position will be responsible for the structural design and production of diverse projects located in Central Texas and throughout the US. Will also be responsible leading the Austin Structural Engineering team.

Job Duties:

Oversee the entire structural design, production and coordination of buildings using reinforced concrete, masonry, structural steel and timber.
Work closely with Architecture, designers, other discipline engineers and project managers as part of a multidisciplinary project delivery team.
Ensure that all structural engineering deliverables comply with applicable building codes and standards.
Ensure all project documentation and deliverables are reviewed in accordance with corporate QA/QC procedures.
Perform construction administration functions including shop drawing reviews, site visits and RFI responses.

Education and Experience:

B.S. or M.S. in Civil Engineering with Structural Emphasis
This level may be achieved with seven years' experience since B.S. or six years experience since M.S.
Experience in the design of deep foundation.

Special Skills:

Proficiency with Revit Structures
Proficiency with Structural analysis software, i.e. RAM software suite, ETABS, etc.

Certification:

Texas P.E. License is required
