Senior CEQA Project Manager

Atkins seeks an energetic and highly motivated self-starter to join our San Diego, CA Cultural Resources Group as a Senior CEQA Project Manager. 

MAJOR FUNCTION/ROLE:

Under general direction, provides CEQA expertise and leadership within public and private business sectors. Functions as project manager, lead scientist or technical consultant.

JOB DUTIES:

Work involves developing scope, schedule, budget and quality plans for CEQA projects of all sizes. Interface with resource and discipline leads for successful project delivery, and coordinate expectations with clients as appropriate.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

B.S./B.A. or M.S. in a field Science to commensurate with hiring discipline; Master's or applicable graduate level coursework preferred. This level may be achieved by Scientists with ten years' experience in CEQA since Bachelor's degree or nine years' experience with Master's degree; typical incumbent has twelve to fifteen years' experience. A specialty in natural resources (biology, wetlands, water quality) required.

SPECIAL SKILLS:

Strong analytical skills, technical writing, computer and communication skills are expected at this level, proven through technical presentations, scientific papers and/or participation in technical committees. May be eligible for project management training.

Experience in NEPA is a plus.
