We are seeking a Senior Chemical Engineer to join our team in Kirkland, WA or Raleigh, NC, to lead and work on various Chemical Engineer and Industrial projects. The Chemical Engineer is responsible for engineering design services in the energy and industrial processing sectors. You will be an integral part of a team of multi-discipline engineers and designers working on upgrades to existing facilities, new projects, FEEDS and other studies. The engineer may also support proposals and business development activities. In-office, hybrid and remote work schedule possibilities.

How will you contribute to the team?
- Key requirement is expertise and experience with Ammonia and/or Hydrogen projects.
- Take a role as a Lead Chemical Engineer, and/or Subject Matter Expert.
- Work with a multi-discipline team, collaborators, and Clients.
- Proactive in obtaining needed information and support to complete work on time.
- Flexible in balancing workload and priorities across multiple projects with a commitment to safety.
- Maintain and build strong professional relationships with colleagues and clients.
- Ability to perform clear calculations with schematics, references, and assumptions.
- Strong work ethic, eagerness to learn, supportive team player and good verbal communication.
- Travel to project site, client offices, or manufacturing plants to support projects may be required.
Skills may include:
- Experience creating flow diagrams and P&IDs.
- Knowledge of heat transfer, thermodynamics, and fluid flow.
- Ability to size equipment such as pumps, tanks, non-fired pressure vessels, compressors, boilers, heat exchangers.
- Calculate pipe sizes for compressible and incompressible flows.
- Basic knowledge of pipe materials, valves, relief valves and control valves.
- Coordinating questions to/from equipment suppliers and reviewing submittal documents.
- Experience writing equipment specifications.
What will you contribute?
- B.S. Chemical Engineering or similar degree from an ABET accredited college.
- Fifteen (15) years or more working as an Engineer.
- PE license preferred.
- Desired: additional experience with any of the following:
- Knowledge of water treatment and or wastewater treatment.
- Experience in Project engineering.
- Simple-cycle or Combined-cycle gas-fired power plant design experience.
- Renewable Power (Solar/Wind/BESS)
- Experience Working at a plant or jobsite.
- Knowledge of HVAC and Fire protection systems.

Expected compensation range is between $121,000 - $145,000 annually depending on skills, experience, and geographical location.
