Civil Engineer 2 (PMC) - Navi Mumbai

Responsibilities
  • Oversee the day to day activities related to civil engineering scope in coordination with other disciplines in the PMC.
  • Review existing operations through all the project phases, particularly those related to Engineering and Project Management, assessing both the strengths and weaknesses and suggest remedies if there are any improvements required.
  • Responsible for compiling a bespoke set of process and procedures of all of the activities within the organisation, including but not limited to quality, progress, commercial matters, value, safety, design and construction.
  • Undertake a gap analysis and review progress of the Civil / Structural / MEP works for compliance with schedule and quality.
  • Advice in the planning, co-ordination and supervision of technical aspects of construction projects.
  • Identify and solving technical issues, providing advice, management and preparing reports.
  • Ensure that the safety, security and environmental policies/set guidelines in the project are being strictly followed.
  • Check mark out at site, make sure designs are applied correctly and liaise with main and sub-contractors and the site manager.
  • Monitor site activities to ensure that construction is progressing according to approved drawings, planned schedules, technical specifications and budgets.
  • Lead quality control matters on site
  • Preparing reports as required
  • Team leadership
    Requirements
  • Degree qualified: BE/B Tech in Civil Engineering
  • 15 + years of experience and preferably have experience similar to this project/role;
  • Overseas working experience would be an added qualification, though working experience in India is mandatory.
  • Professional membership is desirable.
  • Demonstrable track record in the delivery of large multi-functional projects;
  • In-depth knowledge of project controls procedures.
  • A “rounded profile”, comfortable with planning, analysis and managing process and commercial considerations. The successful candidate will also be able to mobilise people and teams and drive for a successful delivery.
  • As a member of the PMC you will be required to maintain a healthy working relationship with Client and Contractor staff.
