Senior Consultant (Contract and Procurement Advisory)

Responsibilities
• To undertake and provide advice on alternative forms of Procurement at Strategic, Framework and Project level across a range of different building and engineering sectors.
• Advise on good management procedures and processes and dispute avoidance options on both NEC and JCT construction contracts across a number of different building and engineering projects. GC/Works/1 and FIDIC experience is also an advantage, but not essential.
• To lead the evaluation of a limited number of construction claims across a number of different building and engineering sectors
• Be a senior figure within the team and manage the performance and development of other team members
• Identify and develop business opportunities, including liaison with Existing/New clients and internal group business units to develop further/new business opportunities.
• Deliver training on NEC and JCT construction contracts. GC/Works/1 and FIDIC also an advantage, but not essential.

Requirements
• Proven track record of delivering advice to clients on procurement matters, contract drafting, and resolution of disputes
• Experience of procurements utilising the Public Contract/Utilities Regulations an advantage
• Degree qualified in a relevant construction field.
• Membership of a recognised professional institution i.e. Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, Chartered Institute of Engineers.
• Associate membership of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators would be an advantage, but not essential
• Experience in construction claims and formal dispute resolution, having a good understanding of the construction process
• Established construction business network.
• Client Liaison and Business Development experience.

This role may require security clearance and offers of employment will be dependent on obtaining the relevant level of clearance. If this is necessary it will be discussed with you at interview
