Following an exciting AMP7 and expansion of our International portfolio, AtkinsRéalis Infrastructure business is seeking to appoint Design Managers to support our rapidly expanding Water Sector Design & Build (D&B) portfolio, offering exciting opportunities to develop your career as a leader in delivery of projects.
We have number of posts across our Derby, Birmingham and Bristol offices, across both Clean Water and Wastewater infrastructure and non-infrastructure areas with opportunities to work at our client locations elsewhere in the UK and overseas.

Responsibilities:

Example work might include:

• Management of multidiscipline tasks and projects to programme, budget and quality.
• Developing strong working relationships with our clients.
• Co-ordination of multiple discipline inputs to achieve integrated designs/solutions.
• Leading the UK design teams for projects in the UK and other AtkinsRéalis regions, including Middle East and Australia.
• Working collaboratively with our offshore resource.
• Assist in implementing our project BIM strategy including use of integrated design tools and data management systems.
• Preparation of schedules of work, work breakdown structures and risk and interface schedules.
• Contribute to Health and safety management of design including application of CDM 2015.
• Working towards delivering Net zero within projects.

Attributes:

• Engineering Degree (Civil, Mechanical etc) or equivalent qualification.
• Experience in design delivery within Design and Build projects within the Water Sector.
• Sound commercial management experience when operating in a D&B environment, with ability to act as Project Manager.
• Ability to manage, motivate and delegate within a project delivery environment.
• Strong communication skills to articulate a clear technical direction with good written, verbal, networking and presentation skills.
• Experience of project delivery utilising BIM/Digital tools.
• Proactive commitment to health and safety.

We offer a competitive salary that is regularly tested against other consultants with a default 25-days leave each year plus bank holidays and options to buy some or sell of that leave. Salary and benefits will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
