The Senior Director, Employee Benefits will report to the VP Total Rewards with accountability for the design, implementation and communication of Employee Benefits for the UK & Europe, Middle East & Africa and APAC regions of SNC Lavalin.
The role is responsible for ensuring that all employee benefits arrangements are aligned to the strategic HR priorities of SNC Lavalin and drive maximum employee engagement
Responsibilities
• In collaboration with the SVP Total Rewards and Senior Benefits Director based in Canada, lead the development of the global benefits strategy for SNC Lavalin, ensuring alignment with global and geography specific business strategy and objectives.
• Lead the design and implementation of all benefits programmes, policies, processes and tools for SNC Lavalin operations in Europe, Middle East, Africa & Asia Pacific, ensuring regulatory and statutory compliance, cost effective and efficient plan design and delivery.
• Lead complex benefits design and harmonization projects, including costing and modelling exercises, development of design proposals and business case development, leadership and employee engagement and the introduction of benefits technology solutions, minimizing the involvement of external consultancies to deliver these changes wherever possible.
• Manage the development and delivery of benefits communications plans and collateral to create differentiated benefits communication campaigns that are aligned to business objectives and maximize employee engagement with their benefits.
• Lead and develop specialist pension and benefits team members, including agreeing team priorities, individual objective setting, performance management and personal development planning.
• Ensure the proactive management of all benefits vendors for EU, MEA & APAC to ensure cost effective delivery against SLAs.
• Keep abreast of industry trends, legislation changes, innovation and best practice, emerging technology and tools and evaluate the impact of introducing new methods or products for the company.
• Partner with HR, business leaders and local Total Reward teams in Europe MEA & APAC to build benefits capability and to ensure that business requirements are being considered and delivered.
Requirements
• Significant experience in the design, costing and implementation of complex benefits schemes, gained from a multi country benefits leadership role or through complex consulting assignments, within a benefits consultancy.
• A depth of experience in at least one of the following benefits markets, UK, Middle East and/or India. With considerable experience of designing and delivering healthcare and risk benefits (plan evaluation, design, financing and implementation), defined contribution retirement plans, benefits technology and benefits communications in these markets.
• Exceptional analytical and technical skills, experience of costing benefits implementation and using data to determine the business case for benefits design changes.
• Experience of managing and driving multiple complex projects in parallel to completion, both personally and through project teams.
• Ability and interest in combining the strategic and operational aspects of benefits management to deliver results.
• Strong oral & written communication skills, with ability to communicate complex information to multiple stakeholder groups.
