We currently have an opportunity for a MEP Lead - Electrical to join our expanding team in Riyadh, to work on a range of challenging projects in our Building Services Engineering Practice based in Saudi Arabia.

Responsibilities

  • As a member of the Building Design team, you will be involved in real projects from day one, with exposure to some of the most demanding projects. We encourage vision, problem-solving, ambition, enthusiasm and drive.   • Senior MEP Engineer to represent Atkins on a daily basis to our Client, the Design & Build Contractor, the project Engineer and the project ultimate Client. 
  • Experience on design and build project would be advantageous.
  • An understanding of all MEP and building services design and how to coordinate these within the spatial constraints of a station is essential.
  • Effective communication skills will be required to interact with project stakeholders, where necessary explaining and defending our designs and providing direction to our design team
  • Commercial awareness essential with an understanding and ability to administer Change Control.

Requirements

  • B.E / B. Tech or M.E / M. Tech Electrical Engineering degree from a recognized University.
  • 10 to 13 years post graduate experience in a Design Group core discipline
  • The ability to think laterally and possess a sound understanding of engineering principles. Ideal candidates will be able to demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and will be able to build and develop relationships, both internally and externally.
  • Experience on design and build project would be advantageous.
  • Experience of working with Contractors
  • An understanding of all MEP and building services design and how to coordinate these within the spatial constraints of a station is essential.
  • Previous experience of leading multi-disciplinary design teams and responsibilities for budgets and programming
  • Explaining and defending our designs and providing direction to our design team. Commercial awareness essential with an understanding and ability to administer Change Control.
  • Computer literate to understand; Word, Excel and Outlook software.
  • Effective communication skills will be required to interact with project stakeholders
