Senior Engineer – Geological Disposal Facility

As a Mid-Grade Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the concept design and development of large-scale infrastructure projects, with a specific focus on geological waste disposal facilities. You will work alongside a team of dedicated professionals, collaborating to create sustainable solutions that address the challenges of waste management and contribute to a cleaner, greener future.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the concept design and development of geological waste disposal facilities, integrating multiple engineering disciplines such as civil, structural, geotechnical, and environmental engineering
  • Apply your multi-disciplinary engineering management experience to ensure seamless coordination and integration of various project aspects
  • Conduct thorough feasibility studies, site investigations, and risk assessments to inform project decision-making and ensure successful project delivery
  • Prepare concept detail engineering designs, specifications, and drawings, adhering to industry codes, standards, and regulatory requirements
  • Oversee the implementation of engineering solutions, ensuring compliance with quality, safety, and environmental regulations
  • Engage with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory authorities to address technical challenges, obtain necessary approvals, and maintain effective communication throughout the project at concept stage
  • Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development

Requirements:

  • A bachelor's degree in engineering (civil, environmental, or related field) or equivalent qualification
  • Proven experience in the design and development of large-scale infrastructure projects, with a focus on geological waste disposal facilities
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of multi-disciplinary engineering principles and practices
  • Familiarity with relevant industry codes, standards, and regulations, including environmental and safety requirements
  • Proficiency in engineering design software and tools
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders
  • Strong problem-solving abilities
  • Proactive and results-oriented mindset, with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
