Water and Environment Practice are looking for Senior Maritime Engineer to play a key role in successful delivery of projects for the Rivers Dam and Maritime Team in Bangalore. Rivers, Dams and Maritime provides end to end infrastructure engineering to a diverse array of projects.

As a Senior Maritime Engineer, you will have the chance to apply your skills – maritime, civil, infrastructure or structural –  in the delivery of river, harbour and maritime works, enabling clients to manage their assets and develop their operations more efficiently and safely through an integrated approach, bringing order into our changing world.

Requirements

  • Experience of 10+ years into Global/UK projects into Marine Structural projects.
  • Civil Engineer with strengths in civil, structural or maritime engineering. Experience in completing detailed design packages to understand what the end product needs to look like.
  • Possess a degree in Civil and/or Structural Engineering, or similar (MTech / MSc level being advantageous).
  • Ability to demonstrate a proven track record of working collaboratively with other disciplines in delivering maritime projects to time and budget.
  • Working familiarity with relevant technical codes of practice and industry standards relevant to maritime engineering is essential.
  • Excellent written and verbal skills when communicating with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Be able to make decisions, act on your own initiative and operate in a pro-active way.
  • Have achieved Chartered status or be working towards it with professional bodies like ICE or ISTRUCTE
Responsibilities
  • Leading and delivering rivers, coastal and maritime projects from inception to handover, on budget and to deadlines.
  • Identify opportunities and prepare bids to commercial and competitive standards for the future success of the business.
  • Build client and internal relationships and help identify business opportunities. Maintain and develop relations with UK business in order to further business opportunities
  • Check design and assessment calculations and reviewing detailed drawings
  • Ensuring the quality of project work meets the agreed standards and specifications.
  • Mentoring colleagues in developing technical knowledge and understanding.
