To fill our current openings, we are inviting talented engineers with minimum 15 years of relevant experience (Senior Engineer) to join our Pipeline team in UAE.


Core Responsibilities:

 

  • Conceptual, Front End Engineering Design, Detailed Design & Engineering of Subsea Pipelines, Risers, Tie-in Spools etc.
  • Pipeline route selection studies and preparation of Pipeline Field Layouts/Maps, Alignment sheets, platform approaches, shore approaches, Crossing details, Pipeline details and MTOs for pipeline projects.
  • Preparation of scope of work & specifications for Topographic/Geotechnical Surveys, assistance during vendor offer review, etc.
  • Carryout mechanical design for Pipelines, Tie-in Spools, Bends, Risers, J-Tubes, Riser/J-Tube Clamps, Pipeline Crossings, Corrosion & Weight Coatings, Pipeline CP system etc.
  • Carryout Wall Tickness design, On-bottom Stability Analysis, Lateral & Upheaval Buckling Analyses, Expansion Analysis, Free-Span Analysis, Flexibility Analysis, Crossing Design Analysis and Stress Analysis for subsea pipelines, spools & risers.
  • Undertake manual design calculations and integrity assessments.
  • Perform installation related analyses such as pipe-lay, riser installation, shore-pull, load-out, transportation, stability etc.
  • Preparation of engineering documents such as Design Basis, Material Specifications, Datasheets & MRs for all kind of pipeline components and Technical Reports.
  • Preparation of specifications for Cathodic Protection, Fabrication, Installation, Hydrotest, Pre-commissioning & Commissioning of Subsea pipelines.
  • Experience with Materials such as Carbon Steel & GRE/ GRP with different types of internal linings / coatings.
  • Technical bid evaluation of pipeline items such as Linepipes, Fittings, Induction bends, Flanges, Heat Shrink Sleeves, CP system components etc.
  • Review and approval of Engineering submissions from EPC Contractors, sub-contractors, Vendors.
  • Attend design review meetings, Engineering Interface meetings, HSE workshop etc. with Clients/ Contractors, as required.
  • Assistance in Feasibility Studies and Constructability reviews for pipeline projects.
  • Construction support including attending to site queries & site related issues and preparing field/design change proposals, pipeline laying procedures/method statements, processing design change requests etc.
  • Supervise and guide Engineers & designers in design/engineering activities & preparation of Pipeline related drawings.
  • Effective communication of study results to clients, either through verbal presentation or written reports.
  • A committed team player able to work on own initiative with minimum supervision.


Core Requirements: 

  • Bachelor Degree in Mechanical/Civil Engineering or equivalent
  • Minimum 15 years relevant experience in design and analyses of Subsea Pipelines in Oil & Gas industry.
  • Experience in industry accepted Design/Analysis software packages for Subsea Pipeline Design.
  • Conversant with applicable DNV, ASME, BS, API and other relevant
  • International Codes/Standards for subsea pipeline design and engineering.
