Atkins seeks an energetic and highly motivated self-starter to join our Tampa team as a Senior Inspector – Roadway Construction.


Job Duties:

Under general supervision, researches and interprets contract requirements to determine whether construction work is proceeding in substantial compliance with plans, contracts, specifications and special provisions. NOTE: Incumbents do not supervise any contractors' activities and are not responsible for job site safety

Applies conventional field observation practices in diversified construction projects of medium to large complexity.


Qualifications:

Required: Construction Training Qualification Program (CTQP)
Asphalt Paving: Levels 1 & 2
Earthwork Construction: Level 1 & 2
Concrete Field Technician: Level 1
Final Estimates: Level 1
Intermediate MOT
IMSA
Traffic Signal Inspector: Level 1

Preferred: Construction Training Qualification Program (CTQP)
Pile Driving
Drilled Shaft inspection


Education:

High school diploma (or equivalent) plus ten years related experience OR an Associates Degree in a related technical field plus eight years related experience is required.


Special Skills:

Good oral communications skills and ability to organize information. Math computation skills and understanding of contract plans and specifications.
