We are looking to recruit a talented Senior Interactive Developer to support a growing team of developers based in Bristol
The successful candidate will be working to create and develop a variety of interactive experiences, including VR and AR, to bring greater value to our engineering, infrastructure and architectural design projects. You’ll have an excellent domain knowledge of both 3D real-time development and the architectural or civil engineering disciplines.
You will be part of the Creative Design practice, who are based in key locations throughout the UK, consisting of 50+ talented designers, developers and visualisers who provide a professional visual communication service to its UK and worldwide markets.
We deliver world class interactive solutions to a wide range of Atkins clients including EDF, Highways England, Environment Agency and HS2.

Responsibilities
- Collaborate effectively with a high energy team of developers and producers.
- Help develop future work pipeline through client engagement.
- Translate client requirements into a working product speciation’s and quotes.
- Undertake client engagement and product demonstrations.
- Flexibly Support both 3D production and C# development as necessary.
- Use in house tools and plugins to setup new projects.
- Help define project workflows and help direct studio R&D.
- Providing accurate predicted timings for tasks and oversee their delivery.
Required skills
• Excellent communication and writing skills.
• Good understanding of the Unity engine and C#.
• Good understanding of 3D modelling and texturing.
• Working knowledge of CAD tools including Revit and Civil3D.
• 2.1 or above degree in architecture or an engineering discipline.
• Current building design domain knowledge including BIM principles.
• Highly competent in delivery high quality and robust interactive experiences.
• Good time management and project planning skills.
Desirable Skills
• Experience with VR/ AR platforms and hardware.
• Experience using GIT source control.
• Experience developing for mobile platforms.
• Knowledge of point cloud formats and processing methodologies.
• Experience with shader programming.
• Experience with project planning tools.
