Atkins seeks an energetic and highly motivated self-starter to join our Orlando, FL Technology Operations Group as a Senior IT Technician.

MAJOR FUNCTION/ROLE

The Desk Side and Technology Support Analyst is responsible for the resolution of all second line incident and service requests in the region. They will have a good understanding of technology and demonstrate excellent customer service skills.

JOB DUTIES

Moderately complex, relatively standardized tasks, processes, or operations.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Associate's degree in Computer Science or related field preferred or a minimum of 2 years of experience in IT service principles and processes.
Additional experience required includes:

High level of proficiency and knowledge of working in a Corporate IT environment.
Solid understanding of hardware and software asset management processes.
Experience of working to (and exceeding) Service Level Agreements.
Broad technical understanding of technology services being supported.
Ability to learn, understand, and apply new technologies.
Strong business focus and customer service skills.
Working knowledge of database/excel structures/tables/configurations.
Proven experience of data analysis and good numeracy, analytical and reporting skills.
Works across regional offices.
Ability to work with software vendors for resolution of application issues.
Ability to “think outside the box” for resolution of client issues.
Understanding of SSL VPN technologies for connectivity to the company and to support our clients

SPECIAL SKILLS

ITIL V3 Foundation Qualification preferred.
SCCM Knowledge preferred.
Working knowledge of Service Now preferred.
Experience in Veritas Backup Exec and Veeam Backup systems preferred.
Strong customer service skills.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

This position requires the candidate to be able to solve problems in a quick manner and to be able to handle project tasks that may include security patching to maintain compliance, secure data wiping of systems, disposal tasks for aged equipment, break down or setup of computer systems for client in preparations of moves or new hires and other project related task that management deem necessary to meet goals of the company.

PROFESSIONAL REGISTRATIONS

Certification from Microsoft preferred.
