SNCL Atkins currently have an opportunity for Senior Payroll Analyst in our Epsom office.
This role is currently being advertised as 6 months FTC.
Job Summary:
To ensure full legislative and corporate compliance is maintained across all payrolls, systems and the business. To ensure the Payroll Team can function in an efficient and effective manner, providing a customer focussed payroll service that meets all required deadlines, paying all employees accurately and on time.
Responsibilities
- To ensure all internal and legislative deadlines and requirements are met.
- To ensure the pre-payroll processing tasks are completed, the payrolls are run, and the post processing tasks completed, all in a timely and efficient manner including P45 production and submission of XML.
- To fully balance the net payment for the payroll.
- To process various third-party payment reports including Pensions and Court Orders and reconcile and request payments from the Shared Service Facility (SSF).
- To ensure BACS is authorised and transmitted within required deadlines.
- To own National Minimum Wage compliance on an on-going basis.
- To update flexible benefits on a monthly and annual renewal basis including the testing of annual changes.
- To capture and communicate, throughout the Payroll team, HR and the business, all changes to statutory and legislative requirements.
- To ensure all payroll systems are working correctly and to raise all issues via the appropriate channels.
- To instigate new initiatives where efficiency can be improved across systems and business-based processes, this incorporates system changes and implementation.
- To ensure all system changes, upgrades and legislative changes are fully tested prior to release to production.
- To support the successful transition of employees who TUPE to the Atkins Payroll.
- To participate in all HR change programmes that have payroll impact.
- To support both internal and external audit requirements.
Requirements
- You will have extensive payroll experience, having previously worked with a 10,000+ strong payroll.
- You will have a full understanding of all aspects of legislative and year end processing and compliance.
- You will have a strong understanding of international payroll requirements, both ex-pat and in-bound.
- You will have a demonstrable knowledge of flexible benefit programmes.
- Experience of leading payroll projects, alongside the operational delivery.
- Experience of reviewing systems, processes, data and people and making recommendations for change to ensure continual service improvement.
- Experience of Oracle Payroll is preferential.
- Discreet with the ability to handle confidential and sensitive situations, showing high levels of integrity.
- Strong relationship management skills working with partner/service providers internally and externally.
