Senior Piping Engineer - Stress Analysis

Due to our continuing expansion we are inviting Piping Engineers to join our Oil & Gas team located in Abu Dhabi /Sharjah, UAE.

To fill our current openings, we are inviting talented Piping Engineer- Stress Analysis, with minimum 7 to 10 years of relevant experience to work in our multi-disciplinary teams to join our Piping team in UAE. The ideal candidate shall have previous Oil & Gas experience, having worked with major service providers for Engineering Design and Consultancy services.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for performing Piping Stress Analysis (static and dynamic) for offshore and onshore projects piping
  • Familiar with A/G and U/G piping and pipelines and finalizing the stress Documentation
  • Finalizing stress analysis design basis, critical line list, work procedure, data sheets, support specification / standards
  • Review and checking of third party analysis
  • Responsible for Planning and scheduling of Stress Deliverables
  • Qualification of Standard Piping support Details including design calculation and verification of loads
  • Providing load data to civil
  • Finalizing Material Requisition, TBE for brought out items like spring hangers, struts, friction pads etc
  • Review and approval of Vendor drawings and documents
  • Incorporation of Vendor data/inputs in calculation
  • Review / approval of construction related deliverables submitted by Contractor
  • Co-ordination with Materials, Layout and other groups
  • Co-ordination with other disciplines / departments as required for interfaces overlaps etc
  • Co-ordination with Piping counterparts in Client/Contractor organizations
  • Site visits and data collection from Client's offices / plants
  • Attend meetings with Clients/ Contractors/ Vendor
  • Implementation of QA/QC procedures as required by Company and Client standards
  • Manhour estimation for engineering enquiries

Core Requirements:

  • Candidate should be a first class Engineering Graduate in Mechanical discipline
  • Should have 4 to 8 years experience in performing Piping Stress Analysis for Oil & Gas projects. Experience in offshore projects would be an added advantage
  • Should have experience in Static and Dynamic analysis
  • Well conversant with ASME B31.3
  • Knowledge of Pipeline design codes ASME B31.4 & B31.8 would be added advantage
  • Well experienced in Piping layout, material specifications and data sheets
  • Good reporting skills
