Atkins seeks an energetic and highly motivated self-starter to join our Federal Group in either our DC office or other Atkins office  as a Senior Program Analyst.

Major Function/Role:
Provides accounting related control of a significant project or program, including budgeting, financial analysis and reporting, systems management, contract compliance, and billing/invoicing/accounts payable coordination and review.

Job Duties:
Work involves a comprehensive level of financial understanding, and the ability to distill discrete solutions from multiple input sources, both system and human. Daily work involves complex use of Excel tools used to deliver our Client meaningful progress reports. Detailed oriented work related to problem solving, analysis, and financial record keeping. Ability to communicate financial and accounting information to different levels of the organization in a meaningful way. Understanding of a work breakdown structure within a project environment. Work with a team of skilled professionals with a single goal of meeting the Client's needs and proactively improving processes to continuously improve the Client's experience with us.


Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree with major in Accounting, Finance or related field, plus minimum 6 years relevant experience. Without Bachelor's degree, additional 10 years of relevant experience is required.

Special Skills:
Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills required to interact effectively with internal managers, subconsultants, project/program administrators, and client. Must have good analytical ability and technical skills. Must have good to excellent competency with MS Office, large business accounting systems, and support systems. Advanced level Excel skills as daily work involves complex work with Excel tools. Experience in a Program Management Office environment is a plus.
