The Role
We are looking to attract experienced candidates with a proven delivery and consulting background with an emphasis on Program and Project Management within investment portfolios delivering major IT enabled business change and business improvement.

The successful candidate will have been engaged in client-side delivery management and consulting roles for various aspects of the business lifecycle, ideally including strategy development, investment appraisal, portfolio definition, business portfolio management, delivery and financial performance monitoring.

We expect the successful candidate will have extensive experience of working closely with sponsors, executives and other stakeholders; able to engage with staff at all levels. Specific experience of working within the Public sector is an advantage.

Candidates need to demonstrate their ability to both lead significant change programs and projects, with multi skilled teams as well as to provide client assurance and advise on the development and implementation of good delivery practice. 

Requirements 

• Understanding and experience of the processes and tasks involved in successful delivery of an investment programs and projects in the public sector – covering large complex delivery teams, complex program definition, investment appraisals and business case development, application of standard management frameworks and involving multiple stakeholders.
• Flexibility to adapt from providing advice on improving client’s delivery to ‘rolling up your sleeves’ to assist clients in delivering key programs and projects in their portfolio.
• Experience in influencing, communicating with, providing strategic advice to, and collaborating with all levels of stakeholder including senior executives, directors, managers and junior staff.
• Good experience and practical understanding of Portfolio, Program and Project Delivery.
• Extensive consulting experience within client environments – with knowledge of excellent practices from other sectors that can drive client process and business improvement.
• Recognised and certified qualifications in Program/Project Management skills/methods (e.g. APMP, MSP, PRINCE2, MoR, Benefits delivery) desirable.
• Commercially astute, able to effectively manage assignments on time, on budget and experienced in engagement and management of 3rd Party Suppliers
• Knowledge and experience of Agile delivery approaches including Agile at scale using methodologies such as SaFE is highly desirable
• Experience of full lifecycle implementation of IT system and IT enabled change projects including infrastructure upgrades and major ERP systems is desirable 
• Experience of leading multi discipline teams comprising System Engineers, Business Analysts and Business Change consultants is desirable
