Within the Transformation & Delivery Practice our P3M Delivery team works with clients to solve some of the most interesting challenges facing organisations today. We are looking to hire a talented individual with a proven track record in successfully managing major complex programmes.

As senior member of the Transformation and Delivery Practice you will be working with new and existing Atkins clients, helping them address their real business challenges. You will use your extensive experience to build strong client relationships, providing strategic and innovative thinking and advice. You will define and deliver Atkins solutions that address their key business challenges from understanding problems through to solution design and successful delivery. This will be achieved in a range of ways including:
Leading the definition, design and delivery of complex client programmes
Working closely with our Market teams, actively supporting them to win work with new and existing Atkins clients. Engaging with clients and developing compelling propositions.
Providing best practice advice and support to clients to enable them to effectively control and manage their complex change portfolios

We are looking to grow our team and are looking for an experienced individual with a proven track record who can perform effectively at a senior level. We need exceptional people who can build strong client relationships, manage complex delivery and support the development of business with new and existing clients.

About you
The successful candidate will be given significant responsibility for client-facing work from day one. All our consultants are expected to have regular interactions with clients, to lead work-streams or programmes and projects. We need you to demonstrate experience and capabilities across the four areas below:

Client interaction
You build trusted and lasting relationships with clients at all levels in a business environment
You bring relevant sector experience – e.g. central government, defence, education, transport ideally you have existing relationships with client stakeholders

Technical delivery
You will demonstrate a track record of excellent and successful end to end programme leadership including business case development, requirements definition, implementation and benefit realisation.
You are a natural leader able to direct and motivate large teams working on challenging projects and programmes
You will preferably have a degree or equivalent qualification and hold relevant professional qualifications e.g. Prince2, APM, MSP
Ideally you will have a strong technical background preferably a Chartered Engineer with experience of ICT and Cyber programmes
You will demonstrate a high level of commercial acumen with proven experience of working with a range of suppliers and commercial partners
You have proven experience in managing acquisition ideally in a defence environment
Experience and an understanding of delivery using Agile methods is highly desirable
You have strong written communication skills and the ability to write documents which are compelling, engaging and unambiguous
You demonstrate high level of problem-solving ability in relation to technically complex or conceptually abstract ideas
You can present complex solutions and concepts effectively and make persuasive cases based on analysis

Business development

You need to demonstrate you have the attributes to support successful business development in a consultancy environment
You can lead or contribute to the sale of Atkins Transformation and Delivery Services – including bid development and presentation delivery
You have strong commercial acumen and are capable of managing bids and end to end financial management of assignments with large teams

Practice and service development
You are an excellent team player with the ability to communicate and engage at all levels with a variety of stakeholders
You can demonstrate an ability to transfer skills and knowledge to colleagues
You are proactive in your approach to work and enjoy working with a variety of people as well as being comfortable with progressing work independently

A passion for developing technically, professionally and behaviourally
A collaborative team-player who delivers great results and operates to high behavioural standards and business ethics

You are required to be flexible in terms of work location and travel. If deployed at client site you should be geographically mobile and be prepared to work on-site anywhere in the UK.

This role may require security clearance and offers of employment will be dependent on obtaining the relevant level of clearance. If this is necessary it will be discussed with you at interview.
