To help realise our ambitious growth plans, we are looking for an exceptional Senior Project Manager to join our highly successful team in Cambridge/London and to work with our clients across our London & South East Region.
This role has excellent prospects for an individual who has a strong ambition to progress. As well as technical competence, we are looking for someone with the ability to think laterally, who possesses first class communication skills, strong commercial awareness and who will provide a first-class service to our clients and a commitment to drive new business opportunities.

This role requires travel within the region.

 Responsibilities
• Acting as project lead on a variety of schemes.
• Effective delivery of Project Management services across; Universities and other educational ‘R&D’ facilities 
• Manage complex multi-faceted projects
• Provide support to Key Account Managers as required on all business issues including but not limited to business development, client management, bid writing and thought leadership

Requirements
• You should have a relevant construction qualification and be a professional member of a recognised professional institution e.g. RICS 
• Extensive experience of public and/or private sectors clients, particularly in the HE Sector, with laboratory led facilities.
• Need to be conversant with all aspects of project management and have experience of both pre and post contract project responsibilities
• Successfully led project management services at various stages of the project life-cycle 
• Possess excellent stakeholder and organisational skills; arranging and chairing project meetings as  well as organising the control of project documentation;
• Have a general knowledge of current legal developments in respect of construction and associated law
• Conversant with the technical aspects of laboratory delivery
• IT literate with an understanding of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook (and preferably a programming package)
• You will have the necessary ambition and drive to not only deliver a high quality professional service but also support the office with business development and marketing activities to help grow the team. 
• Experience in bid writing and presentational skills, in order to secure commissions
• You should be able to work independently whilst being pro-active and helping to identify what the next steps are in order to keep the project on track
• Strong collaborative approach to design team management and be able to demonstrate this through your project experience
• You will have an understanding of complex end user requirements and how to manage their expectations against the overall requirements of the project 
key performance indicators
• Understanding of the various funding requirements that are available and in particular business case approvals processes.
• Foster the company ethos by being positive, professional and collaborative.

• A disciplined thinker and analytical & numerate problem solver who has the judgement and the capacity to think complex issues through and develop effective solutions in a timely fashion. 
• The drive and self-motivation to continuously develop their technical and behavioural skills. 
• Ability to work and communicate effectively within multidisciplinary teams. 
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills. An ability to influence others through the use of sound judgement and good sense
• Smart and professional appearance 
• Should have the ability to work with the minimum of supervision and on their own initiative
• Be able to provide driving licence/passport or other proof of identification in order to successfully pass the security requirements of our clients
• Able to travel to various site locations and accommodate occasional demanding workload
