Senior Project Manager

This position involves management and coordination of usually large or complex projects involving significant billings, heavy regulatory agency involvement and unique management requirements and/or client needs

Responsibilities
-Under direction, provides professional and project management expertise in the direction of highly unconventional projects requiring multiple technical units and/or subcontractors, heavy regulatory agency involvement or extremely complex technical requirements.
-Functions as mentor to project managers and technical professionals to assist in their training and development.
-Performs the basic project functions of production coordination, planning, organizing, directing, controlling, financial management and marketing
Requirements
-Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying or related field
-Graduate degree preferred. Management coursework and/or MBA a plus, OR ten years of experience in the area of Project Management within large scale projects or project production and technical professional activities, four of these working as a project manager
-Experience in the energy sector is required
- AP 1000 experience is required
-Must possess a thorough understanding of Project Management, Building Design & Construction, Critical Path Method (CPM) Scheduling, Building Cost Modeling and Risk Analysis.
-Should have a general understanding of Primavera, Expedition/Prolog or similar, and Estimating software
-Project Management Professional (PMP) [certified by the Project Management Institute (PMI) Global Accreditation Centre (GAC)] and/or Certified Construction Manager (CCM) [certified by the Construction Manager Certification Institute (CMCI), an independent administrative body of the Construction Management Association of America (CMAA)] highly desirable.
-Must understand and utilize Information Technology in the performance of work including Internet, Intranet, Microsoft Windows OS, Adobe Acrobat, and Microsoft Office Suite
-Proven interpersonal skills, public speaking and persuasive ability; strong project financial management and team
management skills; knowledge of production support systems and personal computer proficiency
