Senior Project Manager

Our Mexico City area team is growing! If you want to be a part of a successful global organization and have at least 10 years of experience as a Senior Project Manager on large construction projects, preferably in large retail and commercial projects, we would like to connect with you. This position involves management and coordination of usually large or complex projects involving significant billings, heavy regulatory agency involvement and unique management requirements and/or client needs.

MUST be Mexican Citizen.

Responsibilities

-Provides professional and project management expertise in the direction of highly unconventional projects requiring multiple technical units and/or subcontractors, heavy regulatory agency involvement or extremely complex technical requirements.

-Functions as mentor to project managers and technical professionals to assist in their training and development.

-Performs the basic project functions of production coordination, planning, organizing, directing, controlling, financial management and marketing

-Manages a large team providing Owner’s Representative services based on project and construction management disciplines

Requirements

-Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying or related field

-Graduate degree preferred. Management coursework and/or MBA a plus, OR ten years of experience in the area of Project Management within large scale projects or project production and technical professional activities, four of these working as a project manager

-Experience in the retail or commercial sector is required

-Must possess a thorough understanding of Project Management, Building Design & Construction, Critical Path Method (CPM) Scheduling, Building Cost Modeling and Risk Analysis.

-Should have a general understanding of Primavera, Expedition/Prolog or similar, and Estimating software

-Project Management Professional (PMP) [certified by the Project Management Institute (PMI) Global Accreditation Centre (GAC)] and/or Certified Construction Manager (CCM) [certified by the Construction Manager Certification Institute (CMCI), an independent administrative body of the Construction Management Association of America (CMAA)] highly desirable.

-Must understand and utilize Information Technology in the performance of work including Internet, Intranet, Microsoft Windows OS, Adobe Acrobat, and Microsoft Office Suite

-Proven interpersonal skills, public speaking and persuasive ability; strong project financial management and team
management skills; knowledge of production support systems and personal computer proficiency
