Role:

Our Engineering, Design and Project Management businesses have recently secured several large projects in the Middle East. As we move into this significant period of growth, we are looking to expand the capabilities of our in-house recruitment team. As a Senior Recruitment Advisor based in our Dubai office, you will be given the opportunity to demonstrate your recruitment expertise whilst working on some high-profile projects throughout the region. This job requires a proactive, innovative and highly focused HR professional to support recruitment efforts across multiple sectors and provide additional support for our expanding needs. Full life-cycle recruiting is required, and experience recruiting in a professional services environment preferred.

Core Responsibilities:
  • Provide support and management of key projects and recruitment activity for our Middle East businesses ensuring delivery of requirements across geographically dispersed locations
  • Monitor and report on recruitment activity and key performance indicators (KPIs) taking corrective action when required. KPIs will include the following:
  1. Time to source
  2. Offers made
  3. Offers accepted / rejected
  4. Number of hires per business
  5. Time to offer
  6. Cost of hire
  7. Source of hire
  • Drive and influence change both within the recruitment team and the wider Atkins business
  • Build and maintain high quality effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders at all levels
  • Directly interface with project leads, directors and hiring managers to ensure suitable hiring decisions are made
  • Provide guidance to supervisors and employees related to hiring policies and procedures; maintaining compliance with the required operational and regulatory requirements
  • Identify resourcing needs within the region and take appropriate action
  • Provide expert resourcing and selection advice to line managers and HR colleagues
  • Maintains job descriptions; assists managers in creating job descriptions for new positions
  • Manage the performance and relationships with external recruitment suppliers (such as recruitment agencies, job boards etc)
  • Maintain and develop strong relationships with suitable candidates during the recruitment process, ensuring an excellent candidate experience
  • Maintains knowledge of Company policies and procedures
  • Develops and manages accurate recruiting reporting metrics
  • Assists with HR projects and Company events as needed or requested
  • Ability to work effectively with a remote recruitment back office team (GDC)

Atkins in the Middle East now employs around 2,000 staff serving Gulf clients across all market sectors from offices in Abu Dhabi, Al Ain, Doha, Dubai, Jeddah, Kuwait City, Manama, Muscat, Riyadh, and Sharjah.



Core Requirements:
  • Degree qualified
  • Experienced Recruitment Advisor with a proven track record at a senior level
  • Experience of bulk recruitment and large scale project mobilisations
  • Ability to focus on priorities and deliver to tight deadlines
  • Comfortable working under pressure, not showing frustration or losing composure when facing resistance
  • Confidence and drive to succeed coupled with the ability to be diplomatic and tactful
  • Culturally aware with experience operating in multi-national, culturally diverse teams
  • Ability to demonstrate high levels of confidentiality
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • Ability to analyse data and produce management reports
  • Proficient in the use of spreadsheet, database and the Microsoft suite of packages (Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc)
  • Willingness to travel as and when required
