Atkins seeks an energetic, highly motivated, detail-oriented, self-starter to join our Orlando, Florida team as a Senior SharePoint Software Developer.

Applies full competency in software development, demonstrating broad knowledge of current database technology and computer systems. Under direction, plans and implements software development solutions to detailed phases of major projects.

Job Duties:

- Participates in scope of work and estimate development utilizing technical domain knowledge; may lead scope and estimate for routine projects.
- Participates in and/or conducts client needs analyses.
- Participates in documentation and diagramming of business and technical requirements.
- Participates in application design for routine projects.
- May provide database design insight and perform database management tasks.
- Develops customized applications by writing well-documented code in the applicable environment to meet documented software requirements.
- Performs maintenance tasks on existing projects following the project’s established architecture/design.
- Writes code of sufficient quality as to result in minimal refactoring as a result of code reviews. Leads code reviews with junior resources.
- Prepares data documentation for projects, following prescribed Best Practices.
- Maintains continued knowledge of technology developments in the field and use of applicable programming languages in order to act in an advisory role to clients and act as a mentor to other development resources.
- Implements, develops and evaluates plans and criteria for software development best practices.
- Recommends technical solutions to routine problems.

Qualifications:

- Expert ASP.Net developer using C#.
- Expert SharePoint client side developer using JQuery and JavaScript.
- Must be proficient in customizing SharePoint sites.
- Must be able to implement custom SharePoint workflows.
- Must be fluent in working with MS SQL Server including ability to build schemas and views.
- Understands the Software Development Life Cycle.
- Working experience with XML, JSON, Web Services, REST, CSS.
- Ability to work directly with the client to obtain business requirements and convert requirements into function specifications.
- Can work with minimal supervision.
- Can adhere to tight but reasonable deadlines.

Education and Experience:

B.S. or B.A in Computer Science, IT-related discipline, or four years relevant computer programming experience after degrees in Engineering or other related disciplines. This level may be achieved by practitioners with 4 years of experience since related Bachelor's degree or 3 years since Master's degree. Non-degreed practitioners must demonstrate at least six years of direct experience in lieu of degree. Typical incumbent has 6-10 years' experience.
