The Strategic Asset Management business within Faithful+Gould, part of the Akins Group, is a leading provider of sustainability, low carbon and renewable energy services within the UK. We provide a range of services to large UK private and public sector clients including rating tools (BREEAM, Ska, Well Building etc); energy efficiency and carbon management services; and post-occupancy evaluation and building performance - through to broader sustainability strategy services.

We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic, knowledgeable senior consultant who possesses a strong understanding of Building Services combined with solid experience in delivering consultancy services in the sustainability area including; BREEAM assessments, and provide technical advice and guidance in other areas of low carbon consultancy with a focus on low carbon technologies and their implementation to a wide range of clients and sectors.

Your permanent location will be our London offices, and the role may include travel to clients’ offices/ sites throughout the UK.



Duties & Responsibilities

The role will typically include:

•Overseeing our BREEAM assessments from feasibility stage through to project completion
•Lending and using your technical knowledge and expertise to support and develop the junior members of the team
•Providing sustainability support to clients in a wide range of areas including;
sustainability strategies,
renewable feasibility studies,
building performance,
whole life carbon assessments
•Climate adaptation / mitigation strategies
•Providing advice to clients/ design teams on the most cost-effective and beneficial route to compliance
•Identifying potential clients, discussing needs and preparing bid documents
•Interact with other members of the business and external clients at all levels
•Facilitating workshops with a broad range of stakeholders.
•Managing resources, deliverables and budgets on projects


Requirements

•Qualified BREEAM assessor (preferably BREEAM AP).
•Experience of working with design teams on a range of commercial and public sector projects
•Excellent understanding of building services and common industrial processes
•Preferable: MSc in an Engineering, Energy, Environmental or related field
•Facilitation skills
•A keen interest in energy markets and related environmental legislation
•Enjoy acting as a mentor to others
•Ability to build and maintain strong business relationships with internal and external clients
•Confident with an ability to assimilate within a team and maintain/develop the business
•Competent in Microsoft Office and Windows applications
•Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
•Ability to be flexible and to be able to multi-task and prioritise when necessary
•Drive and enthusiasm
•Candidates may be expected to attain an appropriate level of UK security clearance
