Atkins seeks an energetic and highly motivated self-starter to join our team in New York, NY as a Senior Tolls Analyst – Business Operations.


Major Function/Role:

  • Under general direction, provides project management, technical leadership, subject matter expertise and oversees teams for the development, procurement, implementation, testing and acceptance of Toll Revenue Collection, Back Office, Customer Service Center (CSC) systems and related toll business operations.
  • Applies expert knowledge of leading-edge information and communication technologies, planning, and engineering processes to the planning, development, design, and operation of Toll systems.
  • Applies expert knowledge of toll revenue collection business operations and systems to assess and troubleshoot operational performance, and to identify needs, problems for contract compliance and acceptance. 
  • Provides for the coordination of Toll project activities, and the preparation of plans and other documents. 
  • Major results expected include high-quality written, verbal, and graphical deliverables in the form of client technical and operational requirements, operational concepts, technology reviews, designs, and specifications.

Job Duties:
  • Carries out job functions within project-oriented multidisciplinary teams of Toll professionals and directs interaction with clients within the context of project progress meetings, design reviews, operations, and project production and deployment.


Education & Experience:
  • B.S. degree in Business, Information Technology or another subject related to Toll Revenue Collection Systems, Back Office and/or Customer Service Center Operations such as Accounting, Finance, Computer Science, or Engineering.
  • With a degree, a minimum of fifteen years relevant experience is required providing exposure to toll revenue collection operations, including toll collection systems and sub-systems, electronic payment, or information and communication technologies. Toll related Master's degree/MBA can substitute for one year of experience.
  • Without a degree, a minimum of twenty-one years of relevant experience is required.
Special Skills:
  • Detailed understanding of the practical design and deployment of a wide range of information, communication, and toll revenue collection and back office systems technologies, including all electronic tolling, high occupancy detection, revenue reconciliation / audit trail related to toll transactions, video / violations-processing systems / engineering, toll collection systems and sub-systems, electronic payment, toll infrastructure and customer service center. 
  • E-Z Pass toll collection systems experience would be especially valuable.
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office products, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Visio and Access is required. Familiarity with the use of Microsoft Outlook or equivalent e-mail program is desired. 
  • Strong technical writing, analytical and communication skills essential, including ability to present concepts verbally. 
  • Proven ability to lead analyst teams successfully. Completion of relevant Toll Training and Project Management Programs within the first 24 months of employment is highly desirable
Professional Registrations:
  • Professional registration or ability to become registered within six (6) months is highly desirable, but not required.
