Senior Urban & Master Plan Designer

We are currently looking for a degree qualified Urban Designer with a minimum of 10 years experience to join our team in Dubai.

Essential Competencies

  • Client management experience
  • A degree qualified individual in Urban Design/Architecture/ Landscape Architecture
  • 10+ years post graduate experience within the design consultancy environment
  • Capability and experience in designing to the highest international standards
  • Leading design experience in the day-to-day project development without detailed supervision
  • Technical multidisciplinary co-coordination experience
  • Experience with the following software: AutoCad, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite CS6

Desirable

  • Registration with a professional body
  • Middle East experience including authorities approvals
  • Applicants should possess good commercial awareness and solid financial management ability
  • They should have strong leadership and managerial qualities
  • Proven team management and communication skills are essential attributes for this post
  • Experience of using Revit, MicroStation or ArcGIS

Responsibilities

  • Master plan preparation and layout planning for projects in the Middle East
  • Preparation of urban design and development control guidelines for major planning projects
  • Team leader of medium and large scale projects involving multi-disciplinary teams
  • Will be required to travel within the Middle East and Central Asian region to projects in a variety of geographical locations
  • Be responsible for project planning, management of projects and meeting agreed budgets
  • Day-to-day Client liaison
  • Bidding support
