The purpose of this role is to build a new high margin product / services £200M business by 2020 within Atkins to address the digital asset management (DAM) segment. To develop and execute a growth strategy for the DAM and create a horizontal commercial team operating globally and to deliver growth across all Atkins P&Ls including products, services, solutions and capabilities. It will be essential to work with key regional account team and build marketing capability, pre-sales / solutions architects and sales teams to develop innovative strategies and solutions to competitively position and grow this segment. Coordination of strategy and execution with matrixed commercial and operation teams in the P&Ls will be required and to provide leadership to acquisitions / investments / JVs / alliance partners in the DAM space.
Forecast of sales/orders and margin potential by markets and top global accounts, evaluation of the competitive landscape, short and long term trends for each segment.
Accountable for delivering incremental DAM revenue globally.
Executing business strategy, managing tangible financial performance and delivering on budget commitments.
Grow opportunity pipeline and drive profitable growth for all Atkins businesses within the identified DAM segments.
Develop and execute commercial and marketing strategies with regional commercial P&L to accelerate growth in the selected segments.
Lead collaboration between marketing, partners and product teams to develop differentiated solutions.
Define segment requirements, partner and product sourcing or development needs to support growth; expand coverage including key accounts as applicable.
Advise and lead on potential investment / partnering activities to fill in gaps and broaden DAM portfolio.
Forge relationships with senior executives (CDO/CIO, CFO, Operations Directors) at Atkins Key Accounts, Regulators & key partners.
Lead an internal sales & commercial operations team that is capable of creating compelling digital proposals.
By anticipating market needs growth, work closely with the Atkins Global Technology Team to support building an agile team, that can support new and ongoing business.
This will require domestic and international travel.
10+ years’ experience in digital industry and knowledge of asset management for large infrastructure clients.
Proven track record for managing growth businesses of in the hi-tech service and consulting space with significant customer exposure at executive level in the infrastructure asset management industry.
Business or technical degree.
Experience leading cross-functional teams in a heavily matrixed corporate environment.
Demonstrated leadership and success in creating a global business strategy and driving rapid implementation.
Strong negotiation, communication skills and influencing skills, with the ability to build trust.
Industry experience in Operations, Capital Project Management or EPC and digital technology.
